V & R at beautiful Thursford

This weekend we had the privilege of working at the beautiful Thursford Garden Pavilion. Our first, and hopefully not our last time at this wonderful venue.

We were hired to provide canapés and a three course meal in the evening of V & R’s special day. After spending their day along with their guests aboard the Sheringham steam train having afternoon tea, they arrived at Thursford where they were served drinks (by the venue) and our lovely canapés. These were served in the venues museum where guests were able to mingle and even take a ride or two on their absolutely stunning Carousels. What a sight to see! They certainly seemed to be having fun!

They were then called through to the marquee for their evening sit down meal. Guests had a choice of Sophie’s famous Soup or Ryan’s famous Pork Belly to start. This was followed by Minted Roast Lamb or Vegetable Wellington. Dessert was Tracy’s two most popular dishes. Eton mess or Salted Caramel Cheesecake. Having heard several times while canapés were being served that everyone was so full from the train ride (while taking “just one more canapé!) we didn’t hold much hope that the three course meal would stand a chance but they ate EVERY LAST BITE! It must have been good!

We finish off our service with a tea and coffee station for guests and helped the venue staff serve Prosecco for the speeches.

It was a joy to be a part of the team for this wonderful magical wedding. Thursford’s Melissa and her staff were great to work alongside. Helpful at every turn and a pleasure to be around.

We are so pleased V & R chose us for their day and we wish them a very happy future as Mr and Mrs.
