A & L’s wedding.

This weekend took us back to the beautiful Red Barn in South Runcton for the very delayed wedding of A and L.

On Friday, Sophie and Tracy headed to the Barn to lay tables and set up the bar. A and L opted for white table clothes and napkins, along with wine glasses, water glasses and crockery. We had a quick catch up with A about what she wanted from us throughout the day and timings.

On the day we greeted guests on exiting the ceremony with a Pimms reception. This went down a storm in the beautiful weather! For the next hour or so we kept everybody topped up in the garden while they had their photos taken and caught up with friends. When it was time to make their way inside, we made sure every table had wine and water waiting for them. We also ensured every child had a fruit shoot or J2O as requested.

Then it was time for the food! A and L opted for a laid back approach with hog roast sharing boards for the tables. This meant each table had a board of pulled pork and crackling, stuffing balls, brioche rolls and apple sauce. To accompany this they had salad, buttery new potatoes, coleslaw and pasta salad. All to help themselves. While everyone was digging in, we set up the dessert table with cakes provided by a family member. Once all tables were cleared from their mains, Sophie directed one table at a time to the dessert table to again help themselves. Alongside this Tracy was ready and waiting behind the tea and coffee station.

As we went into the evening all that was left for us to do was to serve drinks at the bar and make sure everyone was happy!

It was a pleasure to be a part of their day. We wish A and L all the best for the future.
