A sunny Friday at the Town Hall
Last weekend took us to the stunning, historic setting of Kings Lynn Town Hall for the wedding of L & P.
We began our service by dropping off our hire crockery and cutlery as well as table cloths and napkins for the couple to set up their tables on Thursday.
On Friday our day began with a drinks reception and canapés in the court yard downstairs. Drinks were clients own. canapés of choice this week were satay chicken skewers, mini roast beef and horseradish Yorkshire puddings, cheese straws and tomato crostinis. These went down very well and also gave staff some good exercise running up and down the stairs for an hour!
Once the wedding party were seated in the main hall it was time for the wedding breakfast. A three course meal this week consisting of Pork Belly with apple sauce or a calbrese salad to start. L & P wished for chicken and mash with gravy or vegetable wellington with a red wine jus for main. Dessert was a choice of three as they couldn’t decide on two! These were Tracy’s amazing brownies, Eton mess or salted caramel cheesecake.
Staff ensured that wine and waters were topped up where necessary Everyone loved the food and there was nothing but praise coming from L & P and their friends and family, which is obviously what we love to hear!
After clearing the tables and collecting our glasses in, (there is a designated bar at the Town Hall so we didn’t have anything to do with that side of things this week apart from glass hire for the tables) we left the wedding party to do their speeches and mingle until their evening began.
In the evening we set out a lovely buffet table of cured meats, cheeses, breads and crackers. Alongside these we also added crisps, sausage rolls, pork pies and grapes. L & P had also bought some beautiful quiches from their favourite shop to add to the table too. A feast to say the least! Once the buffet was over we were done for the night and left L & P and their guests to party the rest of the night away.
Wishing you love and happiness in your next chapter L & P
