A rainy day at The Red Barn.
This weekend was yet another summer washout. But believe me, it didn’t spoil the day of O & J!
Ryan and Tracy went off to the Red Barn the day before the wedding and set the tables. O & J hired our table cloths and tableware, including cutlery, crockery, glasses and napkins.
On arrival at the barn on Saturday, guests were greeted with a choice of Prosecco or Nosecco. They had some time to mingle and catch up before being seated for their wedding breakfast.
O & J chose a three course meal. Starter this week was our popular ham hock. For the vegans and veggies there was a vegan feta summer salad. Main course was our classic chicken in creamy white wine sauce with a vegan and veggie option of vegetable wellington. For dessert O & J went for Eton mess and a homemade raspberry sorbet for those vegans and veggies.
Wines and waters were kept on top of throughout and after the meal tables were thoroughly cleared of anything that was no longer needed, leaving them clean and tidy, ready for the evening.
After their speeches the guests made use of the help yourself coffee and tea station. Throughout the day and of course the evening, the fully stocked bar was open. These guests were certainly fans of Ale!
Evening food this week was “Fully Loaded Nachos”. Tray after tray of warm cheesy nachos with help yourself bowls of guacamole, sour cream, tomato salsa, jalapeños and beef chilli. This went down a storm with several people coming back for seconds.
We thoroughly enjoyed being a part of O & J’s special day. Despite the weather once again letting our couples down this summer, every time we saw them they had the biggest smiles on their faces.
Wishing you all the best in the next chapter of your story guys!
