J & B at The Red Barn, South Runcton
We were back at the Red Barn this weekend for the gorgeous wedding of J & B.
While Ryan and Tracy were busy with the prep on Friday, I headed over to the barn to help set the tables. J & B hired their table cloths and glassware from us as well as cutlery via us from White China. Together with Emma from To Love and To Cherish who supplied seat covers and napkins we started the process of bringing the couples vision of their day to life.
On Saturday we started by greeting the newlyweds guests with Prosecco provided by them, as well as Orange Juice for the drivers and children. The bar was also open for those that fancied something different. Staff made sure nobody ran dry in the time between arriving and sitting down to eat. Again, glassware for the reception drinks were hired from us. Tables were then laid with wine provided by the couple and water jugs ready for the wedding breakfast.
Once everyone was seated it was time for food! J & B opted for a two course meal of Chicken with roasted new potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and seasonal veg with a jus. For their desserts they chose Eton mess and Salted caramel cheesecake. Very popular desserts this year! People enjoyed the desserts so much they were asking for more! We always love hearing everyones compliments and it makes all the hard work worth while.
After clearing away we opened the tea and coffee station and prepared toast drinks for the speeches and left the wedding party to it for a while.
The evening consisted of a pay bar for guests and a Hog Roast. Once again the food went down a treat. One man in particular was extremely impressed with our pesto pasta! So much so we packed him up with some to take home! The children buffet of homemade chicken nuggets and chips also went down well. A little too well with some of the adults who didn’t leave much for the children!
We always feel so privileged when couples choose us for their big day and J & B were no exception. We wish them all the luck in their future as Mr and Mrs.
