A feast in the “Great Hall”
We were at Bradmoor Woods last weekend for a Harry Potter extravaganza! L and J went all out for their wedding theme, and when we say “all out” we really mean it!
Friday was set up day. We headed over to the woods to find the marquee and surrounding areas being completely transformed into a Harry Potter world. After the long Great Hall style tables were set up we laid them with our brand new tableware and glasses.
On Saturday, on arrival of our guests, we joined forces with Professors Snape, McGonagall, Trelawny and Mr Olivander, (yes you read that correctly!) to entertain. Alongside wand making, potion classes and taking a turn with the sorting hat, we were on hand to serve our guests with Love Potions!
Once everyone knew their houses they were taken in to the Great Hall for a feast! L and J opted for BBQ sharing platters. These consisted of handmade burgers, sausages, BBQ chicken drumsticks and BBQ pulled pork. Sophie’s BBQ sauce is quickly becoming very famous! Alongside the platters we served homemade vegan coleslaw, brioche buns, corn on the cob, buttery new potatoes and salad.
This went down a treat and then there were desserts! We served trio’s of Eton mess, Tracy’s famous chocolate brownies and cheesecake. As always with our amazing desserts, every plate was clean on return.
We delivered Champagne to the tables for the toast and left the guests to enjoy the speeches, led by Professor McGonagall as Toast Master.
After L and J had a second blessing in “The Forbidden Forest”, the evening consisted of a classic sandwich buffet and a bar.
This really was a phenomenal day to be a part of and the attention to detail from the couple was incredible. This is definitely a wedding we will remember!
